Well kids, are we having fun yet?
Our April meeting at Derald’s shop sure was a winner. Dan showed his 10degree jig for cutting pieces to be glued up for making the layers of his segmented bowls. He had one glued up and when asked if he’d like to do the demonstration turning his sample, he graciously agreed. Lee stepped aside, as he was the scheduled demo man for the day. So, following our “show and tell” time, Dan turned his bowl.
Our displayed pieces included some turnings from pieces donated by Larry, before his move back to Cape Cod. There were other bowls shared and Buck had these miniatures to display.
Our raffle brought in another $39.We also spoke about bring in a high profile turner for a demonstration-workshop.
Our next meeting will be on a Saturday rather than the normal Sunday fare, and will be an all day workshop at Russ’ shop on Saturday May 12th 9:00-4:00. 18510 Estels Ct., off Simpson Lane
