Another meeting to learn and share was held at Derald’s shop. There were a dozen of us and Alfredo demonstrated on a difficult piece of wood that was problematic. We often learn more from our difficulties than our smooth success experiences.
- Members at the meeting-1
- Members at the meeting-2
- Alfredo giving the demonstration
- Russ offering some advice
It’s time for our $20 a year membership dues to be collected by Henry, and we just paid the years insurance.
- Russ reverse inlay-1
- Russ reverse inlay-2
- Russ reverse inlay-3
- Russ reverse inlay-4
I didn’t get the show and tell photos, but did get photos of the plates Russ was working on with the reverse inlays. His explanation of how this was approached is more than what should go in this letter.
Next meeting will be at Derald’s again, July 15, 2:30-4:30. Please note, this is the third Sunday rather than the traditional second Sunday.
We will have a guest demonstrator from Spokane, Damon Mclaughlin. He does spun painted platters, and wonder f ul texturing.
We need a host for August, and Brian will be demonstrating.
