Well kids, didn’t we have fun!!! Our October meeting at Les’ shop had a good attendance and a very nice stash of turning wood donated by our guest from Washington, David Damon. He spoke some about his method for curing wood prior to turning, and the raffle brought in another $69. There was talk about a booth at the logging show, discussion about foam jam chucks and some tool talk. Lee chucked up some wood and started a bowl demo and Damon, Rod and Wendall joined in. Oh, a thank you to Alfredo for stepping up to become our new VP. We saw some very intriguing work at our show and tell also.
Our next meeting on the Sunday November at 2:30pm will be at Glen Drake Toolworks, and Kevin Drake will be doing a demonstration for us.
